If travellers are unsuccessful with their complaint to a company, we offer easy access to justice as one of the largest consumer conciliation boards in Europe.
Travellers benefit from an independent case review by specialised lawyers, which is free of charge for them. Companies value conciliation as an instrument for efficient, sustainable customer loyalty. A good thing for all parties involved: the conciliation body can usually mediate an amicable solution. The average settlement rate has been well over 80% for years.
The conciliation body is recognised by the German government as a consumer conciliation body in accordance with the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG). The legal examination is carried out by conciliators who specialise in passenger and travel law (fully qualified lawyers).
Important: Conciliation recommendations award travellers the full amount of compensation or other claims to which they are legally entitled, without any deductions (e.g. for handling fees, charges, fees for legal services).
Once travellers and companies agree to an conciliation recommendation, it is binding for both parties, just like a court settlement.
